Unfortunately our price indications in the app and online widget are not functioning as they should. The map on which those are based is not realtime, which means that, for example, the impact of major road divsersions is not oncluded in the price calaculations. Adjustment fixed prices to Schiphol

Due to the persistent heavy traffic situation in the city centre of Amsterdam due to the cut on the Weesperstraat, we are unfortunately forced to temporarily adjust our fixed prices from the center of Amsterdam to Schiphol. Bteween 7 and 21 Julty we will charge the following prices from the area below (outlined in red):

  • sedan: €55,00
  • minivan: €69,50

Ordering a taxi

What information do I have to provide with my order?

In any case, have the street name and house number ready so we can be of service to you quickly.

Can I order a taxi for a specific time?

Yes, you can book a TCA taxi for any time of the day.

How do I know if my order has been processed?

You can check this via the switchboard by calling +31 (0)20 777 7777.

Can I book a TCA taxi from a metro and/or train station?

Yes, you can, but only if you can provide a specific address + house number.

How long do I have to wait after I have ordered a taxi?

The average waiting time is 5 to 10 minutes. In abnormal weather conditions, at night, outside the A10 ringroad and during rush hour, it may take a little longer.

Do I get a confirmation after ordering a taxi?

Only if you ordered the taxi with your mobile phone. You will receive a text message when the taxi is on its way.

Will I receive a confirmation of my order by text message if I have not provided a complete address?

No, unfortunately we cannot send you a text message in that case. If you have any doubts about the address, we advise you to contact our switchboard. Perhaps our dispatchers can help you out.

If I’m standing on the street and I don’t know the street name or house number, can I order a taxi?

If you do not know the street name or house number, please contact our switchboard. Perhaps our dispatchers can help you out. Another option is to use our TCA app. The app can use GPS to try and determine your location. In such a case, you can also contact the driver.

Can I be picked up anywhere in the Netherlands?

This is only possible if you have a corporate account or pay for the trip in adavance. Please note that it may take longer for the taxi to arrive in such cases.

Does TCA have a fixed rate for Schiphol rides?

Yes, TCA has fixed prices for rides to Schiphol from Amsterdam. You can view the latest prices by using the order form on our home page and select Schiphol as your destination. NB: be aware that there is a price difference between a trip with 1-4 persons or 5-8 persons. Or you can check the latest fixed prices with our call centre via 020 777 7777. For a trip from Schiphol to Amsterdam a surcharge is applicable.

Can I agree on a fixed price in advance?

Yes. Every TCA driver usually uses the taximeter but, if you want, you can agree on a price with the driver when you get in. Once the meter is running, this is no longer possible.

Is there a price difference between a sedan, station wagon and/or minibus?

Sedans and station wagons are subject to the same rate. Different rates apply to minibuses. See our rates for more information.
